4-2-3-1: Man Utd starting lineup against Arsenal – Predicted XI

Manchester United seek to recollect themselves against in-form Arsenal, after unarguably their worst performance this season in the 4-0 defeat by Crystal Palace, in the Premier League. We look into the possible starting lineup as the Red Devils aim to resuscitate any European football hopes, albeit against a title-chasing side.

Andre Onana is the undisputed number one between the sticks, at least for now, while Diogo Dalot and Wan Bissaka fill in the left back and right back positions respectively.

Jonny Evans would start at center back, partnered by Scott McTominay, who has played there for the Scotland national team. The Scot has recovered in time from injury.

That centre back set-up pushes Casemiro to the defensive midfield where he should be deployed alongside Kobbie Mainoo.

Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford have also recovered and trained in time for the Old Trafford clash, but it is the captain who slots straight away into the team. Predictably, it will be at the expense of Mason Mount.

Alejandro Garnacho will trade at the left wing. Antony could be given the nod on the right wing, as Amad is not trusted by the manager, while Rashford may come on as a substitute.

Rasmus Højlund remains upfront as the lone striker, despite his recent struggles infront of goal.

Will Man Utd dent gunners’ title quest as they seek to kick any European football next term?
