World’s youngest female football club manager, record set in Sibiu, Romania….

SIBIU, Romania — Romanian-born fashion model Rebecca Dumitrescu Prodan, also known as Rebecca Ioana Dumitrescu, has made headlines after purchasing a 50% ownership stake in top-flight football club FC Hermannstadt of Sibiu. With this move, she became one of the club’s principal decision-makers and, at just 20 years old, earned recognition from the World Record Academy as the youngest female football club manager in the world.

Alongside her role in football management, Rebecca has built a successful international modeling career. She regularly appears in fashion shows in Milan and is currently studying fashion styling at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan, according to Prosport.

Standing 1.83 meters tall, Rebecca began modeling at the age of 14 and quickly gained prominence both in Romania and internationally. In 2018, she walked the runway for Dolce & Gabbana and was honored as the youngest model to debut at Bucharest Fashion Week.

Rebecca assumed operational leadership of FC Hermannstadt after her mother, Anamaria Prodan—one of the most prominent FIFA-licensed football agents in the world—acquired half of the club’s shares. Due to potential conflicts of interest linked to her mother’s agent activities, management responsibilities were transferred to Rebecca, who is now actively involved in board meetings and key club decisions.

Founded in 2015, FC Hermannstadt competes in Romania’s Liga I and is based in Sibiu. The club has enjoyed a rapid rise through the Romanian football system, reaching the Cupa României final twice, in 2018 and again in 2025.
