Conte told Mundo Deportivo. During his presentation as the new Napoli coach, he had already mentioned Osimhen’s situation. The striker, who scored 76 goals in 133 games for the “Gli Azzurri” in the 2022-23 season, that of the Neapolitan Scudetto, is under contract until June 2026. He is currently valued at 100 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.
However, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is expected to stay. Recent rumours mentioned a joint bid of 200 million euros for Osimhen, 25, and the Georgian striker, also coveted by PSG. Asked about the future of the Georgian international, Conte assured that president Aurelio De Laurentiis “told him he would stay and that’s it. I’m very happy.”.
Furthermore, the former Italy coach said that Kvaratskhelia and Giovanni Di Lorenzo, who confirmed his continuity recently, “are essential elements of our project”. It remains to be seen where Victor Osimhen will go. If his departure does materialize, where will his destination be? One thing is certain, the Super Eagle has no shortage of suitors.
