Arsenal have managed just one league win at Old Trafford since 2006 – losing 10. However, United are on course for their worst ever Premier League campaign and the Gunners go into the clash heavy favourites.

Unfortunately for Arteta, he could be without one of his star players. After being on the receiving end of some brutal challenges from Lewis Cook and Ryan Christie against Bournemouth last week, Saka had a clear gash on his shin.

He did continue in the 3-0 win at the Emirates Stadium but he is now a doubt for this weekend’s game. Tomiyasu is also doubtful after not being spotted in training on Tuesday.

“A few doubts that tomorrow we can resolve with another training session so we’ll have to see,””A few doubts over Tomi and Saka, yes.”

There could be a place in the matchday squad for Jurrien Timber for the first time since August. The defender has returned from an anterior cruciate ligament injury, featuring twice for the under-21s.
