David Raya:
Not always convincing. Dropped one cross in the first half and slipped when trying to cover a Declan Rice error too. Still decent on the ball though.
6. Ben White:
Defended Garnacho well for the most part, although the Argentinian did have his moments. Did well when attacking but those moments were few and far between.
6. William Saliba:
It’s always a mark of how good a player is when you start to truly panic if he goes down injured. Saliba went down clutching his back in the first half, but Arsenal will be delighted he got straight back up. Did not give Hojlund an inch all afternoon and showed his class with a superb tackle on Garnacho.
8. Gabriel:
Typically solid display from the Brazilian. Probably a sign of the reputation he’s got that Hojlund looked to target Saliba. Stayed switched on when United had the ball for long periods.
7. Takehiro Tomiyasu:
A couple of moments were he lacked concentration, one of which nearly allowed Antony in. Good in defending one-vs-one duels against a tricky customer in Amad.
6. Thomas Partey:
Not a vintage display from the Ghanaian. Started by gifting the ball to McTominay on the edge of the box, and continued to be sloppy on the ball.
5. Martin Odegaard:
Relatively quiet afternoon for the Norwegian. When he did get on the ball he showed quality, but it was a day where he showed his ability off the ball.
6. Declan Rice:
One moment nearly gifted United a chance in the first half. Better after that, but pretty limited as an attacking force in what was ostensibly a more offensive role.
6. Bukayo Saka:
Had some bright moments early on, but was quiet by his own high standards. Lacked his usual quality with the final ball on occasion.
6. Kai Havertz:
Another goal contribution from the German. That’s now 13 in his last 10 at centre forward. A good focal point for Arsenal’s attack and a willing recipient of long balls from Raya.
7. Leandro Trossard:
The chant goes “Trossard again ole, ole” and he lived up to it today. Another goal at a crucial stage of the season from the Belgian who was quiet otherwise.
7. SUBSTITUTES – Gabriel Martinelli:
A much better cameo from the Brazilian who thrives in the spaces United give up. Would have scored but for a good save from Onana and showed maturity to get Arsenal up the pitch.
