Atiku To Join Nigerian Youths In Protest Against Hardship Under Tinubu’s Govt – Fayose Reveals

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is reportedly set to join the nationwide protest against bad governance and economic hardship. Isaac Fayose, the brother of former Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, revealed this on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Taking to his social media page to share the news, Fayose blamed Atiku for the current state of the country.

He tackled the Peoples Democratic Party’s 2023 presidential candidate for not stepping down for Peter Obi, despite it being the turn for a southern candidate.

He used the American election as an example, where President Joe Biden stepped down for his vice president Kamala Harris to become the presidential candidate during his second term bid.

Isaac Fayose said,

“Good news reaching me, Atiku is joining us for the protest. Why didn’t you step down for Obi? If you had stepped down for Obi, like Joe Biden did for Kamala Harris, we would not be protesting now.

We would be enjoying the dividends of democracy. You would be the godfather like Joe Biden.

You knew it was the South’s turn, but instead of allowing a southern candidate to emerge using the PDP vehicle to achieve the dream, you insisted on coming out forcefully.

Now you want to join us for the protest. You said you would still struggle with us in 2027. Imagine your votes and Obi’s votes totaling 14 million, while Tinubu’s votes are 8 million. Who will rule now?

Daddy, now you want to join us for the protest? Medicine after death. An old man who should have paved the way for the youth. Daddy, we will see you on the field.”

The Nigerian youths are gearing up for a protest across the country scheduled to begin on August 1 to 10. This demonstration aims to express their frustration with the government’s policies under President Bola Tinubu, including economic hardship, inflation, and rising food prices among others.
