Boss says star Good enough for Chelsea – Blues free to sign Powerhouse – £38M star speaks ahead of Chelsea move

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today – Jose Mourinho believes that Tottenham star Heung-min Son is good enough to be playing for the likes of Chelsea. Brought in the summer of 2015 – Son has developed into one of the best attackers in the Premier League and a man that can generate 20-goals a season for Tottenham – although those numbers may drop now Harry Kane is no longer there.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

He was made captain of that Tottenham side once Kane departed for Bayern Munich last summer – and his goals this season have really got Spurs out of trouble on numerous occasions and in the hunt for European football.

Now – former Spurs boss Mourinho has opened up and claimed that Son is good enough to be paying for the likes of Liverpool, Man City or even his former Club CHELSEA, who have been linked with a stunning move.

Mourinho told EA Sports FC Online (via The Evening Standard): “I look at Son as one of the best players in the world.

“Maybe Tottenham supporters, they are not going to be happy with what I’m going to say, it’s not of course disrespectful. He [Son] could win titles, he could play for the best teams.

“He could be playing in England for Man City, for Liverpool, for Chelsea. It could be abroad, playing in one of the top teams.

“He has this modern mobility of the attacking players. He can play through the middle, he can play from the sides, can be wide, to come inside. Can be inside.”

Son has been so good for Spurs over the seasons and has been so loyal that fans are still shocked that he is still at the club – but that could all change in the summer window.

He looks like a player that is becoming frustrated at Tottenham and if there is a big club that makes an offer – he could depart – although a move across London would to CHELSEA make him an instant enemy to Tottenham fans.

Everton director of football Kevin Thelwell has confirmed the club will sell players this summer With Chelsea keen on Jarrad Branthwaite

According to the Evening Standard, Branthwaite is open to the idea of leaving the Toffees, despite having a contract with the Merseyside outfit which runs until 2027.

Everton are looking to raise funds with alternative departures to ensure that they do not have to part ways with their No. 32, though they are said to be willing to entertain offers in the region of £80million

“It is also important that I am completely candid with you,” Thelwell said in a statement.

“The reality is, given the regulations in place and the Club’s current financial position, we have to trade well. Working within such tight financial parameters makes the job extremely difficult. Whilst we want to ensure the team is as competitive as possible, we cannot lose sight of our central objective to protect the long-term stability of the Club.

“That does mean players will be sold, and also that every tool at our disposal will be used to secure new additions to the squad, including utilisation of the loan market. Both Sean and I understand the responsibility we have – and that is a responsibility which has to be our priority.

‘That may not be exciting to hear but, under our current circumstances, it is the right thing for Everton.”

Branthwaite is certainly a talent and one for the future – but £80 million for a defender that has done nothing in the game but put in some good performances is made – but that is the type of player that CHELSEA like to sign.

They want a replacement for Thiago Silva and know that Branthwaite could go on to become a top-class defender – so they will be ready to take the risk should the lad actually come onto the market.

Messinho has told reporters he’s not thinking about his future right now ahead of a possible move to Chelsea.

The season is still in full swing and CHELSEA are still fighting for a place in Europe for next season – which could keep Mauricio Pochettino on his job for at least a few more months.

But if the former PSG boss stays at Stamford Bridge – he may not get any more say on who arrives at the club in the coming months as it seems that the board are sticking to their transfer policy and signing some real talents of the game.

Messinho has been in the headlines alot over the past few days as it seems that Chelsea are closing in on a deal for the young man, despite the fact the will have to wait until next summer before he is able to make the move to Europe.

However – amid all the rumours and speculation – Messinho has opened up and revealed that he is just totally focusing on playing for his current side Palmeiras when asked about all the transfer talk.

“My head today is 100% focused on Palmeiras,” he said. “I don’t think about these things, they are secondary. I think about helping Palmeiras and doing everything possible to give them glory.”

there are some reports that CHELSEA will be paying £38 million for Messinho – that is some money that could be used to help Pochettino out this coming transfer window – that board are going mad.

All these talents wont develop into anything if they are not managed right – Messinho does not need to come to Europe and certainly not the Premier League. He is a talent – but may struggle with the culture, the demands of the English game and many other aspects of the transfer.
