BREAKING: 100,000 Ukrainians Plunged Into Darkness After Russian Attack On Nuclear Plant

Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has said Russia on Sunday launched a drone strike on its nuclear power plant, cutting off energy from over 100,000 residents in the southern Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv......CONTINUE READING THE ARTICLE FROM THE SOURCE>>>>>

Zelenskyy, who disclosed this in a statement on his X account, said the attack targeted civilian facilities, describing it as a “war against our people and against life itself in Ukraine.”

The drone strike on Mykolaiv is the latest in a series of Russian assaults on non-military sites and Ukraine’s energy grids.

Zelenskyy said the strike had “nothing to do with hostilities or the frontline situation,” reiterating his call for global allies to stand united against Moscow’s aggression.

“Those who genuinely seek peace and prepare for negotiations do not act this way,” Zelenskyy stated.

“Russia must be pressured into peace. The recent Shahed strike on the shelter at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, this attack on Mykolaiv, and all other similar Russian strikes must be met with a strong response – with stronger coordination among all partners and unified efforts to force Russia into peace,” he added.

He urged international partners to strengthen defenses against such strikes and to work together to prevent Russian President, Vladimir Putin, from prolonging the war.

“Repair crews are working tirelessly to restore heating in Mykolaiv,” Zelenskyy disclosed.

Russia’s latest attack casts further uncertainties on the planned ceasefire negotiations which U.S. President, Donald Trump has attempted to broker.

Trump last week spoke to Putin and Zelenskyy, getting the commitment of both leaders to ending the three-year-long war in Ukraine.

However, Zelenskyy has continued to express his lack of trust in Putin’s readiness to end the war, insisting that he will not accept any deal reached without Ukraine.
