In a trending video on social media, the musician can be seen presenting an engagement ring to an excited Osawaru who accepted the proposal to the applause of friends of the lovers.
After the proposal, the couple danced to Unconditional Love by Jah Cure.
2face’s relationship with Osawaru came to limelight after a surprise appearance at the Edo State House of Assembly during plenary on Monday.
Natasha is a politician and a member of the Edo State House of Assembly representing the Egor Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party. She is currently the deputy majority leader of the house.
On Tuesday, February 11, 2Baba took to Instagram to address the controversy concerning his split with Annie and also his relationship with the lawmaker.
In a video post titled “To Whom It May Kwansighn”, the African Queen crooner dismissed the allegations and defended Osawaru against accusations of being a homewrecker.
“Allegedly, I have been seeing so many things, so many people coming up with their own false narratives and malicious nonsense after I posted that stuff that I posted,” he stated.
“Hon. Natasha has been dragged, she has been called all sorts of names, she has been labelled as a home breaker. She is a young, brilliant, amazing woman, and she had nothing to do with what is happening between me and Annie in our marriage,” 2Baba said.
The singer further declared his love for the lawmaker and plans to marry her. “Yes, I love her, she is amazing, she is cool, I want to marry her.”
Similarly, on Wednesday morning 2Baba made another Instagram post where he shared a picture of Osawaru, with the caption,, “Now this is my world. Make una help me beg am to marry me.”
THE WHISTLER reported that the singer confirmed his split from Annie, his wife of over a decade on January 26, 2025.
Annie and 2Baba had been together for over two decades. She reportedly met 2Baba when she was 15 years old. The duo tied the knot in Dubai in 2013 and have two children together.
