BREAKING: 3 Suspects In Police Net For Breaking Into Houses

The suspects who are named; Yusuf Abdulkadir, Godwin Adebayo and Abdullahi Adamu 21yrs, are all from the same address.

According to statement released by Wasiu Abiodun, Police Spokesman in the state on Thursday, the three suspects were arrested by police on Friday.

His statement partly reads, “On 14th February, 2025 at about 11pm, Police patrol team attached to Paiko Div arrested three suspects who are;-Yusuf Abdulkadir 20yrs, Godwin Adebayo 20yrs and Abdullahi Adamu 21yrs all of P&P Paiko town”.

“The suspects were arrested at an uncomplicated building at Lugodna area with the following stolen items; one plasma television, one MP3 player, a standing fan, some quantity of melon, millets, maize, and a small bag of rice”.

Abiodun further stated that the suspects confessed that they broke into houses within Lugodna area, adding that the owners of the items were located where the suspects were also charged to court for prosecution.

Six Suspects Carted Away Properties, Arrested By Police

In another development, the police operatives arrested six suspects for many offences ranging from culpable homicide, armed robbery, kidnapping and other related offences

The arrested suspects include: Ibrahim Umar 33yrs of Maitumbi, Moh’d Sani Bauche 24yrs of Beji, Abdulkareem Hassan 24yrs of Beji,
-Hamuza Yusuf 18yrs of Garatu, Abdullahi Sahabi 24yrs of Kunu village and Abdulrazak Saidu 18yrs from Mararaba Kachia, Kaduna State.

Abiodun’s statement reads, “On 7th February, 2025 at about 10am, it was reported that some miscreants broke into a sports centre in Minna and carted away two Air Conditioner, one inverter and a solar battery valued over five million naira”.

He further narrated that items were found and traced to Ibrahim Umar in Maitumbi on February, 10th, 2025.

“Ibrahim claimed that the items were sold to him by one Mathew presently at large at a total amount of one hundred and seventy thousand naira. The suspect is under investigation, while the items were recovered and efforts to arrest Mathew are being intensified”.

“On 15th February, 2025 Moh’d Sani and Abdulkareem Hassan were intercepted on a motorcycle on their way to Garatu with a goat suspected to have been stolen. In the course of interrogation, the suspects confessed that the goat was stolen from Beji and they were on the way to sell it at Garatu”.

“A picture of Kareem was discovered where he posed with a locally made revolver gun and when questioned, he claimed that the gun was given to him by Sani, which they use for cattle rustling, robbery and kidnapping within Beji and its environs”.

Similarly, Hamuza Yusuf was arrested in Garatu, a satellite village in Minna, Niger State Capital with illicit drugs, knife and scissors.

His statment reads, “On 9th February, 2025 Hamuza Yusuf was also arrested in Garatu with quantities of suspected cannabis, other illicit drugs, a knife, and scissors. He claimed that the items were given to him by one Musa Rugged of Paiko to sell, which he sells at two hundred naira each. The suspect is under investigation, while Musa Rugged is currently at large”.

“While on 6th February, 2025 Abdulrazak Saidu 18yrs of Mararaba Kachia, Kaduna State was arrested in Madalla having participated in a kidnapping incident at Pachi, in Kachia and ran to Madalla”.

Abiodun added that the suspect confessed of kidnapping a victim and ran to hide in Madalla, revealing that he often acts as informant to a kidnapping gang headed by “Officer”.

“He said he was given twenty thousand naira and a new android phone for the crime he participated in. He is also under investigation”, he said.

“Abdullahi Sahabi was arrested on 17th February 2025 at Kunu for culpable homicide. About seven years ago, he was to be arrested by a vigilante member for the offence of cattle rustling, in the process, he stabbed the vigilante man to death and escaped from Kunu. He confessed that he ran to Bani village, via New-Bussa but returned to the village recently and he was arrested. Investigation is in progress”.
