Operatives of the Delta State police command have arrested four suspects for allegedly stealing 112 bags of rice in a warehouse in Warri. He said Okoro Udochukwu and Sunday Dickson, who were from Ore II community, were arrested in a hotel located at Aziza junction, Sapele Road, while Arinze Ezisi and Titus Chinedu, the alleged buyers of the properties, were from Okumaga community.
He alleged that Udochukwu and Dickson were members of the six-man gang terrorising Warri, Sapele, Oghara and other parts of Delta State, as well as specialised in breaking churches, companies and warehouses while armed with guns.
The command’s image maker explained that preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects had on May 26, 2024 allegedly robbed a warehouse in Warri and stole 112 bags of rice and sold some of them.
Edafe added that two Sienna vehicles and one shuttle bus were used to carry the stolen items.
He listed items recovered from the receivers’ stores/houses to include 38 bags of rice, one silver crest blender, one inverter engine with two inverter batteries, three sharp photocopying machines and two sharp standing air conditioners.
Also recovered were five LG home-theaters, one Hisense air conditioner, three inter-com machines, one 50 inches black LG television, two shovels, one black Hisense speaker, eight yards of armoured cable, six generators, five stabilisers and three Kenstar air conditioners, among others.
