“She was in on Thursday (January 30, 2025) but did not stay long and did not enter her office,” according to sources.
Information at hand revealed that Sobowale stayed in her car throughout her brief visit to the LCDA headquarters.
A member of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s cabinet reportedly arrived during the period, and they “exchanged a few words” before the latter left, after which she also departed.
Sobowale’s prolonged absence from office had resulted in a supremacy tussle that escalated into a petition to the Lagos State House of Assembly, urging intervention.
Amid talks of her “undergoing treatment,” the council boss did not appear before the panel set up by the Lagos body of legislators to investigate her extended absence and its alleged repercussions, including stalled development.
The panel sat on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
She had not been seen since then until Thursday, January 30, 2025.
Her appearance has generated mixed reactions, according to those in the know.
