The Gunners claimed a 2-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night thanks to goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka.

Mikel Arteta’s side now have four points from their first two matches in the Champions League following the goalless draw with Atalanta in their opening fixture last month.

Arsenal still have six league phase fixtures remaining in the Champions League between now and the end of January before their fate will be confirmed.

A supercomputer provided by CSDB.gg has attempted to predict how the final 36-team table will look after the league phase is completed.

Arsenal are currently 13th in the standings after two matches, with a place needed in the top eight in order to progress to the last-16 without the need to compete in a two-legged play-off.

The prediction believes that Arsenal will finish in fourth place with 19 points and, as a result, automatically qualify for the last-16 stage of the Champions League which begins in March.

Manchester City are predicted to finish top with 22 points, three more than Arsenal, while Bayern Munich (21) and Borussia Dortmund (20) take up second and third place, respectively.

Atalanta, Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus are the final four teams predicted to finish in the top eight spots in the final Champions League table. Liverpool, meanwhile, are tipped to finish 12th and will be forced to compete in the play-off.

Should Arsenal or any team finish outside the top eight, they would then need to finish in any place from ninth to 24th in order to qualify for the play-off round which takes place in February.

Arsenal still have home fixtures against Shakhtar Donetsk, Monaco and Dinamo Zagreb remaining in the league phase of the Champions League, while also having away trips to Inter Milan, Sporting Lisbon and Girona.

It is going to be an interesting summer at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal look to make changes and give Mikel Arteta the squad to overhaul Manchester City and win the Premier League title.
