However, Ange Postecoglou wants even more and a new midfielder is thought to be high on his wishlist.
Of course, a number of midfielders have been linked over the last twelve months and it remains to be seen just who Spurs end up going all out for.
As we know, one of the names continually mentioned when it comes to Tottenham is Chelsea and England midfielder, Conor Gallagher.
And according to Fabrizio Romano, Gallagher is now being looked at by Atletico.
Taking to X to provide an update on Gallagher, Romano has delivered the surprising news that Atletico are now looking at Gallagher.
The Italian journalist has said the Englishman is a target for the La Liga side and that contact has even been made with Chelsea.
With Gallagher away at the Euros with England and Chelsea passing the PSR deadline without a hitch, rumours around Gallagher’s future have quietened.
However, with Enzo Maresca now officially in charge, it remains to be seen if the new Blues boss has a place for the current Chelsea skipper.
With Atletico now keen, it adds another dimension to what the future might hold for the midfielder.
Chelsea are believed to want around £60m to sell Gallagher and quite whether the Spanish side would pay that, is another debate.
Clearly, though, Gallagher has options on the table when it comes to his future.
If Chelsea do want to sell him, then it seems like he’ll have the pick of a few big clubs.
