The singer, in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, called the commissioner a “f**ker” and a “disgrace”, vowing to challenge him head-on.
Davido wrote, “Mr commissioner respect the rule of law!!! You are not madder or crazier than us !! Make we all kuku mad !! MEN MOUNT WALAI TO KRF!!! I will post u everyday everywhere Mr man !!! Try me f**ker.”
He added, “Mr Umar Abba, Osun state commissioner, you are a disgrace to your children!!! Game on F*KER !!!! All of us go mad together !! Wrey!!!”
Davido also posted a video in which he vowed to match the commissioner’s “madness”.
The singer’s outburst appears to be linked to the ongoing political tensions in Osun State involving his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, and former governor Adegboyega Oyetola, now a federal minister.
On Sunday, Governor Adeleke held a press conference where he accused Oyetola of plotting to destabilise the state.
Adeleke alleged that Oyetola is using his influence as President Bola Tinubu’s nephew to work with the Osun State Commissioner of Police, the Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), and the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps to create unrest in Osun.
The governor urged President Tinubu to intervene in the matter and called on the public to hold Oyetola accountable if law and order broke down in Osun State.
“I called this press conference to alert the national and global audience about a deliberate plot to create chaos and anarchy in Osun State,” Adeleke declared during his speech.
As of the time of press, the Osun State Commissioner of Police, has yet to respond to Davido’s accusations.
