The immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai was trending on Monday night as friends of President Bola Tinubu were at the same time seeking out the sponsors of the protest against hunger that has firmly taken root in the North......See Full Story>>.....See Full Story>>
Many allies of President Tinubu were firm that the absence of a firm personality like El-Rufai in the Tinubu administration was largely responsible for the failure of the administration to pinpoint the origin of the most serious rebellion against a Nigerian government in recent history.
GWG reports that the Anti-Hunger cum #EndBadGovernance protest has largely held firm in the North but without a firm rebuttal from influential Northern political actors.
It was the opinion of some on social media that had El-Rufai been a part of the administration that he would have firmly stood out in tracing out the sponsors of the protest that has shaken the Tinubu administration.

GWG.ng gathered some of the reactions to his comment on the capacity of El-Rufai tracing out the sponsors of the anti-Tinubu protesters.
Asiwaju Gbobaniyi @asiwajuadenola
Can u exonerate anyone from this protest especially this Kaduna? The more you look, the less you see. Anyone who is not a friend of this govt can be the sponsor or one of the sponsors. Don’t exonerate anyone, it’s all about politics.
AsiwajuOladimeji @ojojo26
He is too lousy and one talk from both side of mouth He is never a trustworthy ally
Jerry Durojaiye @kokomatic
That’s your own personal opinion
Lucky248 @Lucky2483
In as much I loved and voted PBAT as the president of Nigeria I don’t like the separation between Him and Nasir El Rufai
sunny ladi @sunnyladi1
I agree with you totally.
Abmar @Turaki60
People like Ganduje, matawalle and some northern politicians have no business being in this government @officialABAT should know better, we expect much better from him, he should reshuffle his cabinet bring in capable hands to help him gain support in the north.
OMO KUKU @_Ijebuguy
They used politics to push him out of the government. If u don’t like him for anything, you can’t fault his courage, boldness and standing for what he believes. I knew we ll miss him in this government.
CEff – Ade_S-G @Ceff_Init_G
I am still ashamed of who and those who denied him of a solid space in this administration.
Callejon @fashykenny
Mallam will always have my votes any day any time . A man who stood his ground for Asiwaju during the primary of APC and during the presidential election . A man who lok into FPMB face to face is a man that is good to follow . He will be back and I don’t think there is bad blood
GWG reports that El-Rufai was denied a spot in the Tinubu government after the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio claimed that a report by the Department of State Services, DSS had failed to clear him for appointment as a minister. That report was, however, not seen by any other senator and the details of that report was never made public.
