While applauding the visionary leadership quality of Governor Fubara, the erudite jurist, enjoined public officials in the State to take advantage of any organised workshop to add values to the discharge of their duties.
She noted that the major challenges faced in the implementation of public procurement laws and policies in the State is the ignorance of the laws, and admonished the Bureau of Public Procurements headed by Engr. (Mrs) Ine Briggs to carry out the needed awareness campaign for the people to key into the principles of the procurement policies in the State.
She added that the Bureau should live up to its mandate without compromise.
Justice Odili, however, lauded Fubara’s efforts, saying he deserves the ‘Procurement Champion Award’ bestowed on him by the Bureau for Public Procurements due to his determination to pursue diligence, accountability and transparency in leadership, and the transformation of the State as it affects procurements.
Justice Odili also called on political appointees in the State to be proactive in their duties by ensuring that the development mantra of the Fubara-led administration is well sustained.
She commended the organisers of the workshop and advised them to keep the flag flying for better and prosperous years ahead.
