Activist, Isaac Fayose has alleged that government officials and lawmakers are leaving the country in anticipation of the upcoming protest against bad governance in Nigeria. According to the brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, the airport is full as well as the British Airways with individuals working under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

He said, “The governors are running away. They claim the airport is full. All the Senators, members of the House of Representatives, and Ministers are travelling abroad, they are running. British Airways is very full today. Both Minister and everyone else are running because of our protest. Governors are running, taking sudden holidays. The Senators, House of Representatives they suddenly announced that they will not be sitting for seven weeks, they are going on recess. They are running.”

Nigerians have planned a nationwide protest with the theme “End Bad Governance” to call on the government to address hardships and the poor state of the economy, which has led to insecurity, high cost of living, fuel price increases, and inflation.

The protest will last for ten days until the government agrees to their demands.
