The incident, according to a source, happened at Akabu-Ukwu, Uruagu Nnewi in the early hours of Thursday, October 3, and also led to the dëäth of about two policemen.
All efforts to get the reactions of the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, proved abortive, as he was yet to respond to calls and messages of inquiry sent to him concerning the incident as at the time of filing this report.
