The victim was the wife of Mr. Peter Mrakpor, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), who was the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice when Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa was the Governor.
She was 58 years and was allegedly found dead and naked with severe injuries when she was found around 7.30p.m on Thursday, three days after the gunmen ferried her in a speed boat through the bank of the River Niger at Otu-Ogwu road in Asaba in a car which they set on fire to write-off any traces.
She was found with heavy bruises, which suggested that her assailants flogged and tortured her before throwing her lifeless body abroad.
Prior to her murder, she represented Aniocha/Oshimili Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, She was a lawmaker for Aniocha South at the state’s House of Assembly between 2007 and 2015.
The female politician was kidnapped in her Church, located at the Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS) road in Asaba, at about 4.30 pm three-day ago.
The captors did not ask for ramson, neither did they communicate with any of her kinsmen.
Her two police orderlies were shot dead on the spot by the abductors.
