DAILY POST reports that destructive floods were common in the Michika axis of Adamawa State.
It could be recalled that four years ago, flood uprooted a major bridge connecting Michika and neighbouring Madagali LGA and caused the death of two people.
Popularly called Wuro Gayandi Bridge, the structure had collapsed after a downpour in August of that year, 2020, which caused flooding that cut off the bridge and drowned two people.
The two included a driver and one other person when the vehicle they were travelling in was swept into the river.
Apart from the extensive damage to the bridge and the deceased two travellers, the August 2022 flood affected movement in that axis, as no one could move between Michika and Madagali.
