The officer identified as ASP Idris Lawal was crushed to death at a checkpoint along Iworoko Road in Ado-Ekiti, state capital, SaharaReporters reports.
The incident happened on Monday night, a police internal memo obtained exclusively by SaharaReporters read.
The signal further revealed that the body of the deceased police officer has been deposited in the morgue.
