The actress denied speculation that the lawmaker is responsible for her pregnancy.
Taking to her Instagram handle on Tuesday, Ike made it clear that the ongoing rumours were mere guesswork and dismissed claims she’s becoming the lawmaker’s seventh wife.
“There have been all sorts of lies peddled about me in the media for years, but I always treated them like what they are—rumours that needed no response. But this is different. This is about my child,” she wrote.
Ike stressed her privacy preference and questioned how anyone could claim to know details about her personal life when she had kept her pregnancy under wraps for months.
“Ned isn’t the father of my child, and whoever’s name you might come up with later in your guessing games—it’s still false. Like I’ve said before, I’m not about to be anyone’s seventh wife!” she added.
She advised those spreading the false claims to keep speculating while she enjoys her pregnancy.
THE WHISTLER reported that Senator Nwoko has also dismissed the rumours as “entirely baseless”.
His wife, Regina Daniels, had fueled controversy after deactivating her Instagram account, which led to assumptions about the alleged affair.
In a statement released by his Director of Communications on Monday, February 17, Nwoko stated that there was no truth to the claims, and described them as “a product of malicious speculation.”
