The federal lawmaker stated that he will issue a comprehensive response on Tuesday to address the incident.
The controversy arose after a video surfaced showing Ikwechegh allegedly slapping and verbally insulting the driver in his Maitama residence, Abuja.
In the footage, the lawmaker is heard chastising the driver, insisting it was disrespectful for him to be asked to come outside to collect a delivery of snails.
The video further shows Ikwechegh making comments about his social status, reportedly threatening to “make the driver disappear” without consequences.
Meanwhile, the House of Representatives has officially responded to the allegations of assault involving Alex Ikwechegh, the member representing Aba North/South Federal Constituency of Abia State, following a viral video that captured him assaulting Stephen Abuwatseya, a Bolt driver.
