One of the campaigners for the Biafra Nation and a figure in the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Success Chikaodiri Nsele, had claimed that the death of s3 leaders from the Southeastern geopolitical zone is a sign that the spirit of the agitation for Biafra is not smiling......See Full Story>>.....See Full Story>>
He mocked the death of some leaders in the region who seemed to have shared different opinions from supporting the secessionist agenda of the proscribed group, IPOB.
Nwele claimed that the spirit of the agitation for the independent state of Biafra is responsible for the death of George Obiozor and Emmanuel Iwuanyawu who were both former President of the Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo. He also mocked the death of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah of Anambra South who died yesterday of cardiac arrest in London where he had gone to receive medical treatment.
Nwele said “First, it was Obiozor. Second, it was iwuanyanwu, and now it is ifeanyi ubah na who be the next? Because the spirit of Biafra is not smiling.”
Unfortunately, some individuals believed to be hardened supporters of the secessionist agenda of IPOB suggested names of some leaders including serving governors in the Enugu State, Anambra State, and Imo State as the next to be hit by the non-smoking spirit of the agitation for Biafra.
Recall that George Obiozor was the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, and a former Nigerian ambassador to the United States and Israel who died of a heart-related disease on December 26, 2022.
He was succeeded as President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo by Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu, a Nigerian politician and businessman who was considered one of the richest Igbo men in Nigeria. Iwuanyanwu died as the 11th president-general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo on 25 July 2024.
Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, a Nigerian politician, business mogul, CEO of Capital Oil (CCO), and renowned philanthropist died on July 27, 2024, in London at the age of 52.
