As part of its efforts to revitalize the agricultural sector and ensure food security, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna has distributed 240,000 bags of fertiliser to 120,000 farmers across the state. Speaking during the flag-off ceremony yesterday, Governor Sani said the benefiting farmers were carefully selected by the Kaduna State Council of Chiefs, Kaduna Elders Forum, Nigeria Labour Congress, Religious Bodies and Security Agencies.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The governor also informed the gathering that 850,000 cattle and 250,000 sheep and goats have been vaccinated as part of the state’s commitment to protecting both human and animal health to ensure a stable agricultural environment.
The governor expresses his delight to flag-off the distribution of 500 trucks of fertilizer (about 15,000 metric tonnes) to farmers across Kaduna State, adding that 240,000 bags will be distributed to 120,000 small holder farmers for free.
He said: “Today marks a significant milestone in our journey towards the revitalisation of the agricultural sector and ensuring food security.”
