During the event, the APC Chairman of the state, Abubakar Kana-Zuru, praised the governor for delivering on his campaign promises, particularly his commitment to gender sensitivity. He highlighted several achievements of the Idris administration, including the free distribution of fertilizers, small business support for farmers, food aid to residents, the construction of roads with solar-powered street lights in the state capital, and the completion of the multibillion-naira ultra-modern state secretariat.
Kana-Zuru remarked, “If you haven’t visited Kebbi in the past one or two years, a visit today will make you believe what you’re seeing.”
He further emphasized that Governor Idris runs an open and inclusive government, always encouraging his appointees to spread the benefits of democracy. “His Excellency constantly urges us to ensure that the dividends of democracy reach the people, making them happy at every level,” Kana-Zuru added.
