At the rally center held at Orita Oloki open junction, the local government party chairman, Hon Ademola Oyebode, appealed to residents of Kuye ward to rally around PDP candidates by delivering their votes to them in the upcoming February 22 council election.

The Director General of the campaign train, Hon Hassan Oyelola, in his welcome address thanked God almighty for the transformation in Ede and Osun at large for giving the people of Osun a friendly governor.

While speaking on the party’s chairmanship candidate, Hon Lukman Afolabi, Hon. Oyelola said the party’s flagbearer is a sellable candidate assuring that PDP in Ede South will deliver massive votes for him.

Also, lawmaker representing Ede South State Constituency at the Osun State House of Assembly, Barrister Taofeek Olayiwola, thanked leaders of the party.

“What we are doing today is not a chairmanship campaign but to show our strength toward 2026,” the lawmaker said.

He added “Even the blind can see the transformation of Osun state by our governor and I’m sure it is going to continue.

“What we are doing is signed, sealed, and delivered, we are working towards 2026″ he concluded.

In his own address, former chairman of Ede South local government, Elder Sunday Akanfe Atidade, welcomed decampee from the main opposition party, All Progressives Congress (APC) in PDP.

Elder Akanfe noted that the campaign was not just for next year’s local government election “We are working towards the 2026. I’m amazed with the crowd I met here and it’s a sign of success.”

Hon Musiliu Adeyemi in his own address said, Kuye Ward is important and we are working for PDP, encouraging the electorate to work for PDP candidates in the February election.

Calling on electorate to continue to support PDP, Hon Lukman Afolabi emphasized the need for continuity, saying all the good jobs the present administration has done should be sustained.

He assured the electorate that when elected into office he would work assiduously to ensure that the people enjoy a better life and for Ede South local government, it’s forward ever and backward never.

He charged them to ensure that they come out massively on February 22 and vote for the PDP in all the local government.
