In an interview with NAN in Ilorin, Ehindero emphasized the need for the minimum wage to be based on a four-hour workday rather than the current standard of eight hours.

This proposed cut in working hours aims to empower workers to pursue additional opportunities, bolster their finances, and alleviate the strain of inflation.

Expressing disappointment over the inadequacy of the recently announced minimum wage of N70,000 by President Bola Tinubu, Ehindero stressed that the amount falls short of meeting the basic needs of the Nigerian working class.

He urged the government and labour leaders to reconsider their approach and collaborate towards improving the welfare of workers amidst the prevailing economic challenges and rising inflation rates.
