The Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-OHanenye on Thursday, stormed the venue of an event at the Presidential Villa Abuja and stopped it. A visibly enraged Minister arrived at the event and went straight to the podium to stop the event accusing the organisers of impersonation.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
She also announced there and then that the organiser had been arrested. She said President Bola Tinubu was not happy with the event with the theme “Women for Food Security Programme 2024.”
“I can’t allow this programme to continue. I’m sorry I have to because this is pure impersonation and the President in not happy about it. I’m saying this let the media cover it. I don’t care. You don’t take things for granted. For what!” She said.
According to the programme, a copy of which was seen by the NPO Report, it was organised by Mela-Chiyoma Pat Limited in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
But the Minister said her ministry was not involved.
