The Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) has confirmed the arrest of Bristol Tamunobiefiri, known by his pseudonym PIDOM. The arrest took place on August 5, 2024, at a hotel in Rivers State.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to a statement by Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, PIDOM was taken into custody for allegedly committing serious offences that undermine the integrity of government operations.
The statement outlined several allegations against the suspect, including unlawful possession, leakages of classified documents, cyber-related offences, and others.
The police have assured that a thorough investigation will be conducted, leaving no stone unturned to enforce the law and ensure a secure nation.
The confirmation comes after investigative journalist David Hundeyin revealed that PIDOM, the anonymous whistleblower behind the Twitter handle #PIDOMNIGERIA, was alive and in police custody, set to be arraigned in court next week.
