A middle age Nigerian woman simply identified as Blessing Ayigbe, who owns a block making industry in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, has narrowly escaped being lynched for being caught in the act with a fellow woman.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Blessing,, who was caught in the act with an unnamed female staff of hers in their work site, sometimes in May 2023, escaped death by the whiskers, as some persons around the area where the act occured, it was learnt, gathered round them and gave them the worst beating of their lives.
The irate mob, findings revealed, even attempted to snuff lives out of them, but for mother luck.
Her work place, (a block moulding industry with various expensive and modern machines and generators, located at the River Park Estate, along Airport, Lugbe, Abuja), checks showed, was not spared as the whole place was set on fire.
An eye witness, who narrated the ordeal of Blessing to our correspondent on the condition of anonymity, said, “It is true that she (Blessing) was caught in the act in early 2023, with another lady, at her worksite, following which people around the vicinity gathered and started shouting, dragging and beating them.
According to the eye witness, ‘the mob began to beat the duo and went to the extent of trying to mete out jungle justice on them, by attempting to set them ablaze.
“They were lucky to escape. It was a miraculous escape because i could actually not explain how it happened”, she said
The eye witness, who claimed to be a long term friend to Blessing, revealed that her (Blessing’s) business place, a block making industry with various modern and expensive machines, generators among others, located at the River Park Estate, along Airport road, Abuja was completely destroyed.
Her words, “Blessings and the female staff of hers managed to escape from the scene with the assistance of some Vigilante members in the area, who arrived the scene timely.
“If the the men of the vigilante group in the area hadn’t gotten to the scene on time, the story will have been different. Their timely arrival truly saved a terrible and dastardly act from happening that day.
When asked about the present whereabouts of Blessing, the witnessed said, “Honestly speaking, i can not say categorically that i know her whereabouts.
“Rumours however have it that Blessing May have quietly ran away from Nigeria,”She is believed to have eloped from Nigeria along with her children to an unknown destination, though rumours also have it that she’s in the UK”.
The witness however expressed the firm belief that what can save the lives of Blessings and her children now is for her to seek for asylum from the government of any of the foreign countries around.
Her words, “From the harassments and dehumanizing things that were meted out to Blessing and her female staff, which had particularly made Blessing and her children to be highly scared, i will advise her to seek asylum outside Nigeria for her safety and that of her children.
“Don’t forget that life has no duplicate and a dead man don’t tell tales”, she said.
