BREAKING: Northern Ethnic Youth Group Assembly Withdraws from August 1 Protest

The Northern Ethnic Youth Group Assembly (NEYGA) has announced its withdrawal from the planned nationwide protest on August 1, opting instead to support President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing economic reforms. The group acknowledged that the current challenges are largely a legacy of the previous administration under President Muhammadu Buhari and emphasized the importance of national unity.

NEYGA spokesperson Ibrahim Dan-Musa highlighted that Nigeria has endured difficult periods and that patience is essential for the country’s progress. “President Tinubu needs more time to implement his plans for the country. The ongoing reforms offer hope for a better future,” Dan-Musa stated.

The group called on other Arewa organizations to recognize that overcoming Nigeria’s challenges requires a collective effort and that the Tinubu-led presidency provides a new opportunity for positive change.
