Ebonyi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Uchenna Stephen Igwe has congratulated the governor of Ebonyi State, Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and the people of Izhii Nnodo on their 2024 Ojiji New Yam festival. The commissioner also thanked God for His graces upon Ebonyi State governor, Builder Francis Nwifuru, Izhii Nnodo people and the entire Ebonyi State. In his words: “I thank God for His glory upon Izhii Nnodo Ekumenyi and Ebonyi people even as I congratulate Izhii Nnodo people as we mark this years Ojiji festival. My gratirude goes to the governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and his wife, Mrs. Maudlyn Nwifuru, because their excellencies’ goodwill has become banners of protection sheltering Ebonyi people from poverty, hunger and hardship.

The 2024 Ojiji New Yam festival which held on Sunday 18th August, 2024 was celebrated in peace and tranquility with friends and well-wishers of Izhii Nnodo people felicitating with them. This year’s grand finale of Ojiji which usually wraps up Ojiji New Yam festivals in colourful grandeur at Izhii Nnodo Cultural Center, Anmegu will come few days from now.
