The recruitment of teachers into public schools across the 18 local government areas of the state was described as a right step to enhance the standard and quality of education in the state.

Kayode, who was also a former Attorney General and Minister of Justice of the Federation, reasoned that the appointment of Senior Special Assistants on community engagement to interface with people at the grassroots in Ondo is an viable innovation as this will afford a first hand knowledge of the grassroot, a vital issue in progressive governance.

Restarting his support for Governor Aiyedatiwa, Mr. Adetokunbio Kayode urged the people of the state to vote for the governor in the November 16, 2024 gubernatorial election in the state.

The Senior Advocate said: “I want to commend Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on his achievements so far since he took over as the substantive governor of our state.

“Looking at his recent intervention in the education sector. He recruited more teachers for our public schools. We expect more of this especially for STEM. Before now, we all know there are many schools that do not have enough teachers.

Schools are to be renovated to provide an enabling environment for both teachers and students as well. Students in tertiary institutions received scholarships and bursaries.

A listening governor must understand the yearnings of his people. Appointing aides to interface with the people in the rural areas to know their demands showed how much he understands governance.

In the critical areas of portable water and primary health delivery, Governor Lucky realized that the people at the grassroots need portable water to avoid outbreaks of waterborne diseases so he has started delivering water boreholes in rural communities across the state.

“Approval has been given for provision of solar power. All these afford multi sectoral impact in public health, agriculture, insecurity and general socio-economic development.

Now the state government is encouraging the people of the state to engage in all-year-round farming to assure food security in the state.

“We are also happy that critical reforms being carried out in the agricultural sector, if continued over a period, will have a huge impact on the socio-economic development of our state.

“The Governor has demonstrated his understanding of his primary constitutional responsibility for the security of life and property of the state. He has shown his commitment for, support and strengthening of the Amotekun Corps. Recruitment and training of Amotekun Rangers to provide security is ongoing. We expect this to be more vigorous.

“Judging by these people-oriented programmes, the people of the state could be assured that the governor will attend to all their needs if given the opportunity.

“For the nearest future, Lucky represents the future for our state. So, we charge and encourage our people to support progress, development, and growth.

“All over the world, people desire good government, but they have to make the choices. For Ondo State, the time has arrived for a man who assured me that “the harder I work the more luck I seem to have.”

“Lucky has experience. He is focused, pragmatic, and ready to work. He is persistent. He has gone through the fire of Ondo State politics and has survived. He is good for our state.”
