The Forum Chairman, Governor of Bauchi Alhaji Bala Mohammed while reading the Communique, said the forum categorically reaffirms its determination to ensure unity and cohesion in the party, which Nigerians trust as the best platform for democratic governance.

The forum he said is constrained to accept the latest postponement of the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting out of empathy for His Excellency Governor Gomen Enobasi, whose late wife is to be buried on the day earlier scheduled for the NEC meeting.

The forum he added commiserates with Governor of Akwaibom state Pastor Eno and prays to God to grant him and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

He added that the forum strongly advises the NWC to coordinate efforts by the first week of February 2025 to allow for extensive consultations with critical stakeholders, the period between November and February is to be utilized in addressing the existential challenges facing the party, with a deliberate timeline to resolve issues related to leadership and governance.

The forum he stressed also sympathizes with Nigerians enduring oppressive economic hardships caused by the policies and decisions of the APC-led federal government.

The forum calls on the President to urgently review macroeconomic and fiscal policies to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians saying PDP governors pledge to continue implementing policies and programs that reduces hardship and ensure progress and development.

It also expresses its concern about the state of democracy in the Edo governorship elections, alleging that INEC manipulated results in favor of the APC candidate despite the PDP candidate winning the majority of local votes.

It further alleges that there was also manipulation in the Ondo elections, where the APC openly engaged in vote buying and calls on INEC to uphold democratic principles and urges the National Assembly to strengthen electoral laws to prevent institutional sabotage of the people’s will.

The forum Chairman said his forum recognizes the commendable efforts of PDP members in the National Assembly and urges them to critically scrutinize all bills to ensure fairness, equity, national balance, and even development across the country.

The forum Mohammed added commiserates with the government and people of Plateau State over the recent Katako Market fire incident, which caused significant destruction of property worth millions of Naira and also extends condolences to the government and people of Kogi State following the recent tanker explosion that claimed lives and injured many.

The PDP Governors forum expresses gratitude to the government and people of Plateau State for hosting the meeting and showcasing the renowned hospitality of Jos.

The forum equally commends the state government for the visible transformation in social services, tourism, and transportation and urges Nigerians to look forward with genuine hope to replicating these achievements after 2027, when the party will reclaim its rightful position in Nigeria by the grace of God.
