Parading the suspects, Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi revealed that operatives of the Nigeria Police Force through the FID-STS in quelling the menace of Banditry, Kidnapping and other heinous crimes occurring across the country intercepted Twenty (20) AK 47 rifles, 205 rounds of live ammunition, Ten (10) magazines, Eleven (11) Toyota vehicles, One (1) Toyota Hummer bus, One(1) Bajaj motorcycle, assorted illicit drugs, Three(3) Toyota brain box, Two(2) side mirrors, Six(6) spanners, Tapping glass, One (1) cutlass, One(1) knife and One (1) sack of Garri used to conceal arms and amammunition.

The first case we have here is:
CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, ARMED ROBBERY KIDNAPPING, BANDITRY AND CATTLE RUSTLING.
SUSPECT: MUSA SAIDU ‘M’
EXHIBITS: (i) TWELVE COWS,
(ii) 1 BAJAJ MOTORCYCLE
BRIEF: On 29th April 2024, a team of operatives attached to the FID-STS, left for Igbowo in Oyo State on investigation activities and arrested one Musa Saidu ‘m’ of Igbowo. Investigations revealed that the suspect had left his community for 5 years. Upon his return back to his community in Kigakwu Kaduna State after his disappearance he started spending money extravagantly, buying different brands of new motorcycles (BAJAJ) and twelve (12) cows in a day amounting tPolice FID-STS Parade Car Snatchers, Gunrunners, Kidnappers, Cattle Rustler, Intercept Arms Inside Garri Sacko the sum of Five Million Naira (N5,000,000.00).

Upon interrogation, he confessed to the above-mentioned crimes, he further confessed that he is operating under the leadership of one Haruna ‘m’ in Birnin Gwari forest of Kaduna State. Throughout his operations under the gang Commander Haruna ‘m’ he was using AK 47 rifles. That twenty five (25) cows were given to him as his proceed of his above mentioned criminal activities, that he sold the cows in Kaduna State, all at the rate of Four Million Seven Hundred Thousand Naira (N4,700,000.00), that’s the money he used in purchasing the Bajaj motorcycles and twelve cows, ten female, two male in Igboho Oyo State.
CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, KIDNAPPING AND UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF PROHIBITED FIREARMS
SUSPECT: JAJO SALEH ‘M’ AGE: 25YRS

BRIEF: On 4/7/2024 based on credible information, police operatives attached to FID-STS on investigation activities to Taraba State, arrested one Sajo Sale ‘m’ of Gishrin Hassan, in Ibi L.G.A of Taraba State, in connection with a case of the kidnapping of one Hajiya Narindo Gwa-gwa ‘F’ also of Gishirin Hassan, in March 2024 with other members of his gang, where they collected a ransom of one million and three hundred thousand naira only (N1.3 million). The suspect upon arrest, confessed to the crime and led operatives to the recovery of their operational rifles. Efforts are currently being intensified to arrest other members of the syndicate.
CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY AND CAR THEFT
SUSPECT: DAHIRU BASHIR ‘M’ 36 YRS
EXHIBITS: NIL
BRIEF: On 8/7/2024, operatives of the FID-STS working on credible information apprehended one Dahiru Bashir ‘m’ a native of Sokoto North, who specialized in stealing of motor vehicles, and have been in the illicit business for over 5 years. The suspect confessed to being specialized in receiving stolen vehicles and being a major receiver of stolen vehicles and parts in Sokoto State as a whole. According to the suspect, he receives stolen vehicular parts and takes them to one Dauda Muhammed ‘M’ citizen of Niger Republic. He confessed to having taken delivery of over 100 stolen assorted motor vehicles which he has disposed of mainly to Niger Republic and also having multiple syndicates which he operates with, including a syndicate in Abuja led by one Wizzy who is now Late and one Mubarak currently at large.
CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, ARREST OF GUN RUNNER AND ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF PROHIBITED FIREARM
SUSPECT: HAUWA YUSUF ‘F’

BRIEF: On 14/8/2024, acting on technical Intelligence, operatives of FID-STS intercepted one Hauwa Yusuf ‘F’ 30 years of Dutsin-Ma LGA of Katsina State. The suspect was arrested while in transit from Lafia Nasarawa State to Katsina State, inside a Sienna Bus along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway. A search was conducted and One AK-47 Rifle without breach Number and Four AK magazines concealed inside a white Sack of Garri were recovered from the suspect. During the interrogation the Suspect confessed that it was One Aminu Basullube, a notorious Bandit terrorizing Katsina State general axis who sent her to take delivery of the arms in Danum madam Camp, Katsina State.
CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, ARMED BANDITRY AND CATTLE RUSTLING
SUSPECT: ABDULKADIR ABDULLAHI ‘M’
EXHIBITS: NIL
BRIEF: On 3/8/2024, a team of operatives attached to FID-STS while on investigation activities, arrested one Abdulkadir Abdullahi ‘m’ of Abe Village in Kaduna State. Upon his arrest, the suspect confessed to having conspired with three others, currently at large to steal four (4) cows valued at Six Million Naira (N6,000,000) belonging to his uncles, one Yusuf Musa and Musa Mohammed. The suspect further confessed that he had made efforts to sell the cows at the rate of Seven Hundred Thousand Naira (N700,000) but the buyer collected the cows and absconded without paying.
CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, ARMED ROBBERY AND UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF PROHIBITED FIREARMS.
SUSPECT: NIL
EXHIBITS: 1. Four (4) AK 49 Rifles.

BRIEF: On 7/7/2024 at about 1400hrs, acting on credible information, operatives attached to FID-STS in conjunction with Local vigilante trailed one Surajo Usman aka ‘one man down’ to his hideout in Dona Chinkai via Wukari LGA of Taraba State. On sighting police presence, the bandits opened fire, and engaged the operatives in a gun duel. Ultimately, the bandits succumbed to the superior firepower of the police and three bandits were neutralized, while others escaped with varying degrees of injuries during the gun duel. A cordon and search operation was conducted within the camp, and several exhibits were recovered. Efforts are being intensified to arrest the fleeing Bandits.
CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, THEFT, UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS WEAPONS AND RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTIES.

BRIEF: On 11/8/2024, reports were received about some hoodlums who specialized in breaking into people’s houses to steal valuables. Based on the information, operatives from FID-STS swung swiftly into action and arrested the following suspects: Ekene Iloka ‘m’ and Paul Iloka ‘m’ with a Mercedes Benz 190 model with Reg. No. BU. GGE black in colour. On the spot, a search was conducted on them, and several exhibits as highlighted above were recovered. Suspects are still currently being investigated and will be duly prosecuted at the conclusion of the investigations.
CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY AND BANDITRY
SUSPECT: Habibu Isa ‘M’
EXHIBIT: One Toyota Hummer Bus
BRIEF: On 17th July 2024 at about 0940hrs, Operatives of the FID-STS arrested one suspect named Habibu Isa ‘m’ 40 years of Sokoto state who upon arrest, confessed to being an informant to the bandits operating around Sokoto. Due to his closeness and access to banditry activities, the bandits gave him the opportunity to negotiate ransom with victims’ families on their behalf. Whenever the ransom is paid, he gets his share, which he used to purchase a Toyota Hummer bus which has been recovered as an exhibit.
