Speaking on the sidelines of a 5-day Agriculture skills training for over 100 youth from the Okuapeman traditional area under the auspices of Okuapemhene Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo in collaboration with Toutele Agriculture College in South Africa, Dr. Gabby Malope stated that the event was successful, praising the participants for exhibiting willingness to learn and acquire much knowledge and skills from the training. She said the participants have set a path for the next generation to secure food sustainability in the country.
Dr. Gabby Malope however urged farmers to prioritize organic farming over chemical fertilizer application to safeguard consumers’ health, stating that, the soil is already rich and needs no chemicals to boost it.
The Chief Executive Officer for Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo Foundation, Emmanuel Asa-Ntow stated that the training had equipped the participants with many skills and knowledge, pointing out that, they were making arrangements for more people to benefit from the training by ensuring that, the permanent institution is established in the area to admit and train more interested persons in Agriculture.
