BREAKING: Pro-Fubara Plot Counter After Amaewhule, Others Block Rivers Govt Spending

The lawmakers took the decision after the seven-day ultimatum they gave him to re-present his budget, expired, declaring the shutdown of the Rivers State Consolidated Revenue Account, and prohibiting any expenditure by the Fubara administration.

Rivers House Leader, Major Jack, had moved the motion to bring up a resolution alerting the House of the governor’s seven-day deadline for presenting the 2024 budget to the House.

The Amaewhule-led House also communicated to some Federal Government agencies to stop dealing with Fubara based on the resolution to stop him from spending.

But a source in the camp of Martin Oko-Jumbo-led House loyal to Fubara will counter the move with their own resolution, which would also prevent the Amaewhule-led House from functioning as lawmakers.
