However, ahead of the final, which will take place at Wembley on June 1, Madrid have been dealt a huge injury blow.

French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni is a dubt for the final after suffering an injury during the clash against Bayern.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, who wrote on social media: “Aurélien Tchouaméni has been diagnosed with a stress injury in his left foot. “Evolution pending”, Real Madrid reports.

“23 days to go for the Champions League final.”

Speaking after the match, Madrid boss Ancelotti said: “It’s happened again. Something that has happened time after time, which is inexplicable, has happened again.

“A set of fans who drive us, a stadium that supports us, a stunning atmosphere and a group of players who believe. It’s magical. We played well, I think it was a tough game but we had control, we didn’t lose our heads when they scored and we got back into it.”
