The Federal high court, sitting Kano State, has declared that the dethroned Emir, Aminu Ado Bayero has jurisdiction to be heard. Justice Liman Mohammed stated this on Thursday, June 13. This is significant because because the Kano State High Court had earlier ordered substituted service on Bayero and four other emirs to restrain them from parading themselves as emirs. The case was filed by the Kano State government.

The commissioner of Police, Usaini Gumel, said the police could not serve the deposed, Aminu Ado-Bayero and four others the court papers.

The deposed emir sought the court to grant his exparte order against being intimidated and protest his right from being trampled upon.
