In a personally signed statement in Abuja on Tuesday, the Chairman of Senate Committee on Army, Senator Abdulaziz Yar ‘Adua, commended

exceptional bravery and resilience displayed so far by the military personnel in combating terrorism.

“The recent operation, which took place on Saturday January 25th 2025 showcased the Nigerian Army’s professionalism and dedication as they reclaimed a major insurgent camp in the Mai-Saleh area, bordering Borno and Yobe States.

“This successful operation resulted in the neutralization of over 70 terrorists, including three high-ranking commanders.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice during this operation.
