Super Eagles defensive midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has expressed his excitement about working under Leicester City’s new manager, Steve Cooper, following the departure of Enzo Maresca to Chelsea. Ndidi, who recently committed his future to Leicester City by signing a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2027, spoke positively about his initial conversations with Cooper.
Cooper is well-regarded for his role in securing Nottingham Forest’s promotion to the English Premier League in 2022, following a 1-0 victory against Huddersfield Town.
The 27-year-old Ndidi further revealed that Cooper has shared some exciting ideas with him ahead of the 2024-25 Premier League campaign, which he eagerly anticipates.
In preparation for the upcoming season, Leicester City will face Shrewsbury, Augsburg, and Lens in pre-season friendlies. Ndidi is looking forward to his first game under Cooper’s management.
