Bwala made these remarks in response to recent comments by Chief Whip of the Senate, Mohammed Ali Ndume. In an interview with BBC Hausa on Wednesday, Ndume criticized the current administration’s inability to address security issues, highlighting that even some ministers struggle to gain an audience with President Tinubu. “The major problem with this government is that its doors are closed,” Ndume lamented. “Even some ministers cannot see the President, let alone members of the National Assembly, who do not have the opportunity to meet with him and discuss issues affecting their constituencies.”

Ndume later told journalists at the National Assembly that the president had lost touch with reality, alleging that certain forces had isolated him within Aso Rock.

Bwala, in a piece titled “Ali Ndume, the Rant of an Expert in Grandstanding,” responded by questioning Ndume’s credibility and accomplishments. “Senator Ali Ndume has continued to show a lack of leadership quality by any standard,” Bwala asserted. “He is just a beneficiary of a system that promotes Stockholm syndrome. Otherwise, how could a man with relatively less political value continue to represent people for 21 years, yet remain enmeshed in endless controversies with little or nothing to show in his Senatorial District?”
