The Head of ICT/Media Unit, Kogi State Vigilante Service, S.O. Saka, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, said the suspect is a notorious armed robber and professional bike snatcher.
According to Saka, during preliminary interrogation, Abdulraheem Muhammed confessed to being involved in several incidents of snatching motorcycles at gunpoint.
“On January 26, 2025, at approximately 1715hrs, Abdulraheem Muhammed, a resident of Idoji in Okene Local Government Area, was apprehended by operative of the Kogi State Vigilante Service, Okene Command.
“The suspect has been handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution,” the statement read.
The Kogi State Vigilante Service commended the vigilance and swift action of its operatives in ensuring the safety of the community.
The vigilante service also urged residents to remain security-conscious and to report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities promptly.
