BREAKING: We Stumbled On Some Documents That Show There Is A Linkage Between The Terrorist And The NLC – FPRO

The Police Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Muyiwa Adejobi, has disclosed the discovery of documents that suggest a connection between a suspected terrorist and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC). Speaking in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today from 5:11, Adejobi shared that these findings came to light during an ongoing investigation, stirring significant concerns within law enforcement.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

He clarified that there is no direct accusation against the NLC for knowingly providing refuge to a terrorist.

However, he noted that the suspect in question was residing in a property owned by the NLC.

This connection, though indirect, has raised alarm bells within the police force and led to a deeper scrutiny of the situation.

Adejobi emphasised the severity of the matter, urging the Labour community to understand the critical nature of the intelligence that the authorities now possess.

He suggested that the NLC may not be fully aware of the extent of the evidence collected against the suspect.

He said that the evidence includes documents that point to the suspect’s potential threat to both Nigeria and the broader African continent.

The FPRO also touched on the sensitivity of the investigation, highlighting that if the NLC had been privy to the depth of intelligence gathered, they might view the actions of the police, including the alleged search of their Secretariat, in a different light.

Adejobi underscored that the investigation was conducted in the interest of national security and was not intended to target the NLC as an organisation.

He argued that the discovery of such documents within the suspect’s residence has led the police to explore all possible links and connections, irrespective of how tenuous they might seem.

The FPRO called on the Labour community and the public at large to exercise patience and trust in the ongoing investigation.

He reiterated that the police are committed to uncovering the truth while ensuring that justice is served.

Furthermore, Adejobi urged the NLC to cooperate with the investigation, stating that their collaboration could be crucial in unravelling the full scope of the suspect’s activities.

He reassured the public that the police are handling the matter with the utmost care and diligence, ensuring that all actions are within the bounds of the law.

Adejobi said, “I’m not saying that the NLC harboured a terrorist, but in this case, the NLC is the landlord, and the terrorist that we are after was a tenant in that house.

“At times you are going to have some tenants that are criminals and that are of bad characters that you may not know.

“We actually want to invite the leadership, not the NLC, to at least clarify certain issues. Because we stumbled on some documents that show there is a linkage between the terrorist and the NLC.”
