In a news conference in Abuja, Adeaye through her lawyers from the Emporium Legal Attorneys, alleged that Dorcas Adeyinka, a blogger, is working in cahoot with one Suraju Ashimuyu, whom she was helping to resolve his domestic problems.

He alleged that through Ashimuyu, the blogger has continued to malign her and cause her psychological damages.

She raised an alarm that despite being declared wanted by the police after she ignored several summons, Adeyinka has continued to attack her, alleging further that the police have turned the case against her, where the blogger is being assisted by the police and putting her life in danger.

In a petition dated 18th of July sent to the Inspector General of Police, a copy of which was sighted by our correspondent, she said the problem started in January 2022, when the founder of Abike Jagaban Helping Hands Foundation, was invited by CSP Margaret Igbodalo, (the OC Gender, State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, Lages), to intervene in the case of one Suraju Ashimuyu aka and his wife Folusho Clabamiji Olayinka with their twin children.

She said Ashimuyu “was arrested for sleeping with a minor and physically assaulting his wife and kids. His wife and the children were seriously ill and were therefore handed over” to her.

After being admitted to the hospital for treatment for 2 weeks at her expense, she claimed that she located the girl that accused Ashimuyu of rape and pleaded for an amicable settlement of the matter, “before further proceeding to securing the services of lawyers to ball Ashimuyu from the station, after 4 days in detention.”

The petition which was signed by Barr Timilehin said “Princess Tolulope Odegbami stood as surety for the husband’s release.”

The petition said, “A month after the husband, Ashimuyu was released, our client got a call that he had battered his wife and upon getting there, the said information was confirmed. It was also discovered that one of the twin children’s legs had broken, due to the fierce altercation between their parents.

“Sequel to the brutal assault Ashimuyu melted on his wife, he was detained by the Police and our client took his wife and children to the hospital for medical care.

“Consequent upon the above, the children were handed beer to the NGO with the approval of Lagan state Ministry of justice, domestic Violence team and one Honourable Victor Akande of the Lagos state House of Assembly, with the consent of the mother’s family.

“Subsequently the said Ashimuyu was released and he made several efforts at kidnapping the children and their mother from the Go’s care.

“Afew months after our client took custody of the twins and their mother, while preparing their speech, to be presented at a function in Eko Hotels and Suite, Princess. Tolulope Odeghami received a video message from a friend where Dorcas Adeyinka, the blogger, in connivance with Mr. Suraju Ashimuyu aka bata Ibeji and his brother Taofeek Ashimuyu on a live podcast, confidently alluding and/or alleging that the NGO was involved in several kidnappings, pushing of hard drugs, trading in contra bound goods and all sorts of social vices, referencing the twins children in our client’s care as a case study and further alluded that our Princess Tolulope Odegbami’s father (Chief Segun Odegbomji was a ritualist who in collusion with his daughter are spiritually manipulating the destinies of the children under the NGO.

“She in the said podcast broadcasted on all social media, the suspert maliciously alleged that our Princess Tolulope Odagbami committed incest with her father and the said sexual encounter produced 3 children. After watching the video, our clients could not concentrate on the presentation they went for and had to abruptly leave the venus depressed

“Consequent upon these ponderous allegations being circulated on all social media against our Clients (Princess Tolulope Odegtamil, was on several occasions arrested by different security agencies at the instigation of Ashimuyu, who was working in concert with the blogger, to answer the alleged kidnapping and drugs crime that was levied against her.

“The last arrest was effected by the Department of State Security (DSS) but upon proper and thorough investigations by the Agency, our Clients were unconditionally released without being charged for the commission of any of the alleged offences. Due to the name calling and embarrassment our client suffered from the suspects, our client had to release the children to the blogger with the consent of the ministry of justice.

“It should be noted that the suspects also alleged our clients of using a platform to raise funds for the children and divert it without handing the said funds to their family.”

“That shortly after several unsubstantiated and unfounded allegations levelled against our Clients via incessant cyberattacks, cyber bullying and stalking, digital abuse and online discrimination, premise upon these allegations, our Clients reported to the Nigerian Police, who caused Adeyinka to be invited but she refused honouring the said invite.

“Due to her arrogance and decline of the invitation, she was tracked and arrested at the airport with her manager and one other person, on the verge of absconding, to evade arrest by the Nigerian Police Force.

“The suspect was later granted bail and surety by retired AIG BOLA LONGE but unfortunately, she jumped bail during the pendency of the Police Investigation of the false allegations.

“The suspect upon jumping police administrative hail was declared wanted but despite that, she still circulated barrels of unfounded allegations against our client on podcast and other internet fora.”

The petitioner said Adeyinka’s wife “fell seriously ill in the custody of the husband before she was taken to her family house by him, where she later gave up the ghost.

“Upon the demise of Falusto, her family arrested the husband. Unfortunately, the blogger, in her usual grandstanding manner, recently alleged that our clients detained the said husband for over 80 days because he requested the whereabouts of his children.

“The unfounded allegation was published and aired on all social media podcasts and major news outlets like Sahara reporters. The suspect’s continued malalignment has psychologically affected our clients as they have lost lots of respect and goodwill their friends, family and the general public had for them.”

She said she has continued attacking her “all social media platforms, continuously tarnishing her image and brand” and “making spurious allegations of crimes she did not commit with the motive of bringing her, the organisation and what she stands for down.”

The petition from the lawyers further said “The straw that broke the camel’s back was the police force, who declared the suspect wanted, is now being used by the suspect to harass, Intimidate and arrest our client with share impunity.

“Infact, the police no longer pursue the justice of this case which our clients believed is as a result of some supposedly powerful officers, shielding the suspect from investigation and arrest.

“It is pertinent and imperative to state that due to the constant cyberbullying and cyberstalking our clients suffered from the suspects, they have lost lots of respect and goodwill their friends, familles, colleagues and the general public had for them.”

She pleaded with the inspector of police to quickly intervene for the sake of justice. “We respectfully request that the said suspects be re-arrested, investigated and prosecuted in order to serve as deterrence to others that are in the habit of maligning people and giving false and unverified allegations.”
