Anka stressed that drug abuse and human trafficking are widespread crimes that impact people of all ages and highlighted that the agency was established by Governor Dauda Lawal specifically to tackle these problems.
He also mentioned that the agency has developed various programmes to achieve its goals. Anka recognised the NYSC as a crucial institution for shaping future leaders and sought its support in raising awareness among the populace.
In response, the State Coordinator of NYSC, Mallam Lawan Ahmed, expressed gratitude for the agency’s collaboration. Ahmed noted the severity of drug abuse as a leading cause of criminal activities in society. He mentioned that the NYSC, through its community development initiatives, is actively engaged in campaigns against these issues.
Ahmed conveyed the willingness of the NYSC to collaborate, highlighting ongoing efforts to educate corps members on drug abuse, illegal migration, and human trafficking. He assured the agency of NYSC’s commitment to spreading awareness across the board and extending their support for the cause.
