The 23-year-old left Stamford Bridge for the City Ground in the last summer transfer window, and the move has worked out quite well for him.

Callum Hudson-Odoi on scoring against Chelsea

Hudson-Odoi came through the ranks at Chelsea and has spent most of his career there.

However, the Forest star has admitted that it felt good to score against his former club.

Speaking to Premier League Productions (via BBC Sport) after the game, he said: “Credit to the boys. They worked hard and it was unfortunate.

“It was a nice feeling playing against the boys I know and catch up with them. It was nice to get a goal against my former team.

“You never know in football. There’s one game left but hopefully we’re safe now and we can focus on Burnley next weekend.”

Will Chelsea regret selling Callum Hudson-Odoi?

Selling Hudson-Odoi is a decision that could easily come back to haunt Chelsea. It almost did today after his goal against the Blues.

He has scored eight goals in the Premier League this term, which is more than what Mykhailo Mudryk, one of the club’s most expensive ever signings, has managed, for example.

Chelsea only received £3m for Hudson-Odoi and still just 23 years of age, he is likely to improve as well.

If Mudryk starts delivering consistently, then not much will be said about Hudson-Odoi going forward. But if not and the former Chelsea man continues performing, then questions are going to be asked.
