Should Manchester City beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final on Saturday, the Blues’ sixth-placed finish will be enough to guarantee them Europa League football next term.
Despite the above, Chelsea confirmed on Tuesday that the club and Pochettino had decided to go their separate ways. Before his departure, it was claimed that the Argentine wanted more of a say on transfers.
Who wants the Chelsea job?

Plettenberg has also claimed that there has already been “loose talks”.

Tuchel won Chelsea the Champions League during his time at the club but was sacked shortly after the Blues were taken over by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.
Will Thomas Tuchel return to Chelsea?
As much as some Chelsea fans would probably love that, a Tuchel homecoming just seems highly unlikely.
The club’s current owners did not seem too keen on him and they appear to want a young manager at the helm.
The reliable Fabrizio Romano recently claimed on Substack that Chelsea would go for a young coach if they decided to part ways with Pochettino.
That has obviously now happened and while it seems like Tuchel is a name they could consider, the German is probably not high on their list.
